Reports To:                 VP of HR, IDD

Location:                     US Remote, ideally East coast

ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD) at Thermo Fisher Scientific develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy and autoimmune diseases. What you will contribute:

This is a key HR Leadership position in the Division and this exciting role will assume responsibility for the US Commercial, Medical and Scientific Affairs and Finance functions. This role is a key strategic business partner to these Leaders and their teams to define organizational needs, drive culture and organizational change, develop talent strategy and manage key talent to increase organizational capability.

This role will be a member of the IDD HR leadership team and contribute to division-wide HR strategies, programs and process development and implementation. The successful candidate must possess the ability to quickly grasp the business and functional strategies and objectives maximising the greater human resources organization and capabilities to support the achievement of those objectives.

Develop effective talent strategy and solutions that reinforce our business strategy and advance culture change initiatives to attract, retain, develop, and engage diverse, hardworking talent.

Business Acumen and Data Insight

Draw upon business metrics to encourage the continuous improvement of talent and business capabilities and maintain a positive culture. Build a robust understanding of industry, market, and functional trends, crafting business-specific talent strategies driven by data insights.

Consultation

Act as a trusted mentor to people managers in navigating complex leadership and HR matters, including talent development, engagement, and performance. Stay abreast of changes in HR law and emerging issues which have the potential to impact the business, sharing knowledge with business and HR teams.

Change Leadership

Serve as a motivator for change, devising and communicating solutions as they relate to organizational design, development, and change management. Demonstrate and encourage consistency with our 4i values (Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement) in everything we do.

Organizational Adaptability and Resolve

Seek the expertise of the HR model for support and establish a solid organizational network that promotes a "One HR Team" approach.

Project/Process Management

Coordinate HR resources and priorities to ensure the successful implementation of initiatives. Assess work requests from across the organization and effectively balance priorities in collaboration with the business and in alignment with the HR model.

How you will get here:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field required.

Experience:

  • Senior level Human Resources experience in large multi-national companies, supporting global teams.
  • Comprehensive HR experience, including a complete understanding of the full mix of HR functions, including talent acquisition, total rewards, talent management, organizational development and effectiveness and employee relations.
  • Experience working across a complex organizational matrix and successful stakeholder management.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills with strong business acumen and demonstrated success translating business strategies into organizational and HR strategies & actions.
  • Experience as a strong HR partner with credibility as a trusted advisor and confidant to senior management on business/functional issues and strategy.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and stakeholder groups and deal with ambiguity and provide solutions
  • Ability to use informational technology tools for effective analysis and communications
  • Ability to travel 30% of time, including internationally.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $169,000.00–$213,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
