Supporting all aspects of laboratory test work including receiving of samples, cryogrinding, homogenization, extractions etc.
Preparing client samples including weighing, labeling, transporting, and logging
Performing daily tasks including verification of lab equipment, filling in temperature logs, etc.
Cleaning and maintenance of extraction equipment and laboratory facility
Storing all samples while adhering to local and federal laws/regulations
Operation and calibration of laboratory equipment, including balances, centrifuges, microscopes, etc.
Proper disposal of chemical and biohazardous waste
Washing and sterilizing laboratory glassware according to established protocols/SOPs
Performing clerical work related to laboratory activities such as word processing and record keeping
Maintaining material safety data sheets for all department chemicals and products
Adherence to all laboratory safety, quality assurance and quality control documentation as specified in company Standard Operating Procedures
Maintaining compliance with local and state guidelines requiring chain of custody of controlled substances
