Join our team! The University of Vermont-Google Open Source Complex Ecosystems And Networks (OCEAN) Postdoctoral and Postgraduate Fellowships at the University of Vermont's Complex Systems Center offer two early-career scientists a unique experience to tackle open questions related to organizational and team performance. Funded by Google Open Source, this fellowship provides an excellent opportunity to work alongside an international network of leading academic researchers and industry partners. The project will deepen understanding about how people, teams, and organizations thrive in technology-rich settings, especially in open-source projects and communities.

Come to beautiful Burlington, Vermont and work in a highly collaborative, fun, and dynamic research environment. The Vermont Complex Systems Center is a post-disciplinary team of faculty, researchers, and students working on real-world, data-rich, and meaningful complex systems problems of all kinds.

The initial research projects that will be conducted by this fellowship include study in any of the following areas:

-How people, teams, and organizations thrive in technology-rich settings.

-Trade-offs between organizational structure and the spread of ideas and information.

-Investigating how scientists and software developers use computational and collaborative tools and platforms.

-Understanding what conditions allow individuals and communities to succeed in open source software and open science.

We will review applications on a rolling basis beginning January 27, 2020 until February 20, 2020 or the positions are filled.
