Position: Upstream Process Engineer Location: Houston TX Salary range: 110K – 96K Job description • The Process Engineer will be a member of the Topside Hull/Riser & Flow Assurance Team and work closely with Asset Managers to bring current partner operated and future operated projects through to Sanction. • This position includes a potential development towards Team Leader position • Follow up and participate in early phase multidisciplinary teams representing the Process discipline • Prepare scope of work and follow up contractors / sub-contractors • Quality control and verification of partner and initiated studies • Plan and follow-up technology qualification work in close cooperation with technical and R&D offices • Perform in-house technical assessment work • Assist in update the governing documentation and Technical and Operational Requirements and Guidelines (TORG) to make them GOM specific • Establish strong internal network to ensure appropriate assistance and QA/QC when required • Participate in operated projects • Follow-up and assist internal clients (early phase, business development projects) • Participate in audits and verifications • Participate in further development of technology and work processes A degree in engineering/science, or equivalent, with special strengths within one or more of the following disciplines/areas: • Processing upstream • Processing equipment design and optimization • Chemical engineering • Mechanical engineering Experience from: • Deep water developments • Software calculation programs within processing • Following up contractors/sub suppliers • Development projects or technology qualification programs • Process operations Qualifications Required • 4 year college degree • 10+ years of Process Engineering experience • 2+ years of Deep Water Gulf of Mexico experience Preferred: Master’s Degree • 2+ years experience working in the Deep Water Gulf of Mexico • 2+ years of Upstream Process Engineering experience • 2+ years experience working on major capital projects for a Major Oil Company/Operator We offer • A competitive salary and a comprehensive benefit package Personal qualities • Being a team player and able to work in multifunctional teams • Must be able to travel between US and Norway on per basis need • Being proactive, take initiative and be able to work independently as well as in cooperation with others • Prove ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines • Being creative, independent, and flexible in a demanding, multicultural business environment • Leadership skills and/or experience • Have good communications skills and strong command of the English language, both oral and written |
