Job Title Senior Principal Systems Engineer Job Description The Lead Subsea Production Systems Engineer is responsible for all technical tasks related to the project with specific authority for all technical tasks that can not be assigned directly to a “product Work Package”. The role is authorized to take and implement technical actions needed to comply with client Contract Requirements, Specifications and Project objectives. Working as part of an integrated team your responsibilities will include: • Management of multi-discipline engineering activities, requiring good overall knowledge of the key elements of subsea field developments. •Independently evaluate, organize and prioritize work for self and others, following best engineering practices and maintaining high standards of technical excellence within the team •Responsible for developing a tender engineering plan and ensuring timely production and coordination of engineering deliverables •Liaison with region on agreed technical input and responsibilities * Review client tender documentation and produce technical clarifications, commercial and technical qualification list •Evaluate need and justification for external engineering support. Develop work scopes and management interface of in-house and 3rd party design/ analysis subcontracts, schedule and cost •Responsible for subsea preliminary design for bids •Identify and mitigate risks as well as and producing technical deliverables •Produce the necessary engineering input for proposal in liaison with business proposals group •Produce and manage development of CTR`s for engineering element of proposal. •Participate in tender negotiations with client and incorporating changes into final tender proposal •Technical Input to Pursuits, feasibility and strategies •Supervise, develop, train and mentor junior engineers and engineering support staff assigned to the project. Job Requirements Education: · Bachelors degree in Engineering Experience: •Minimum of 10-15 years oil industry experience. •Knowledge of applicable industry and regulatory codes, standards, and recommended practices for the design, fabrication and installation of subsea systems, flowlines, risers, manifolds, controls and subsea trees. •Understanding of vessel operations and management. •Familiarity with drilling, completion, production and process engineering a plus. Working knowledge of flow assurance, production chemistry, corrosion management and materials selection. •Demonstrated ability to coordinate and direct the efforts of others to achieve exceptional performance standards. •Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, be self-directing, and exhibit due diligence in pursuit of objectives Qualifications: •Experienced in project controls, including effective work planning, risk assessment, contingency plans, contract management, and demonstrated business acumen. •Strong communicator, who excels at building relationships with customers, contractors and colleagues. •Places the highest priority on health and safety, in addition to the protection of assets and the environment. •Demonstrated safety leadership and disciplined application of operational excellence management systems. •Subsea project engineering & execution experience. Proven ability to develop subsea system designs, as part of Pre-FEED/FEED and progress the design to execution and ultimately, handover to operations. •Experience in leading multidiscipline teams in project related activities, including reviews of other projects. •Experience in representing the corporation in partner meetings and reviews. •Broad based experience across the subsea engineering discipline. |
