ADMINISTRATIVE SUBSTITUTE
The Monarch School and Institute is dedicated to providing an innovative, therapeutic education for individuals with neurological differences—such as those associated with autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit (hyperactivity) disorder, learning disabilities, Tourette syndrome, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, traumatic brain injury and seizure disorders. Administrative Substitutes at The Monarch School report to the HR/Office Manager. Their primary responsibility is to support the administrative needs of The Monarch School while he/she is substituting for a faculty member.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma.
- Previous experience in an administrative or office support role is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general computer skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapting to different teams and tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Flexibility to adjust to varying work assignments and schedules.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Office Management: Maintain an organized and efficient office environment, including managing incoming calls, directing visitors/parents, and overseeing office supplies and equipment.
- Data Entry: Accurately input and update information into databases, spreadsheets, and other digital systems as required.
- Document Handling: Assist with sorting, filing, scanning, and photocopying documents as needed to ensure proper record keeping.
- Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional assistance to visitors, parents, students, and staff members, addressing inquiries and concerns.
- Assistance with Projects: Collaborate with department teams to support ongoing projects, including research, data collection, and presentation preparation.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize various software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email platforms, and internal systems.
- Adherence to Policies: Follow established organizational procedures, guidelines, and protocols to maintain consistency and operational excellence.
- Flexibility: Be prepared to step into various administrative roles and tasks as needed, adapting quickly to changing circumstances.
WORK CONDITIONS:
- This is an on-call, temporary position based on the needs of the organization.
- Work hours may vary based on assignment and will typically align with regular school business hours.
- The Administrative Substitute may be required to move and lift office supplies, materials, and equipment.
- The role may involve prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and using a computer.
PAY:
No Degree (only HS Diploma) = $85/day
With Degree = $115/day
