Position Summary:
The Account Manager will deliver a best-in-class customer experience through strategic management of customer accounts. Reporting to the Director of Account Services, this high profile, high impact position will act as a liaison between our customers, production and sales departments regarding print projects.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Securing maximum revenue potential by working the clients in developing creative solutions to their retail graphics needs.
- Analyzing and understanding spreadsheet data and client specifications.
- Working with the Estimating Department for all necessary projects to spec jobs including creative, production, kitting, and fulfillment.
- Creating, managing, and executing distributions of all program assets using proprietary software
- Detailing all project-related requirements.
- Maintaining contact with your client (in person, via phone, and email) and ensuring timely project completion.
- May require you to work with the client on reading floorplans and designs to determine signage needs.
- Working directly with various team members to communicate key job data and milestones, ensuring effective transition for production. Communicating any updates throughout the life of the project, i.e., quantity changes, shipping and billing adjustments.
- Managing inventory to avoid holding excess product while maintaining minimum quantities. Providing a client inventory stock status for review.
- Managing active/inactive items, locations, and SHOP website to keep accurate and up to date.
- May require attending pack outs and ensuring quality reviews before elements are shipped.
- May require traveling for client conventions and business meetings.
- May require you to create and maintain store surveys and layout confirmation for rollouts.
- Sending proofs to client for approval. May require working with the client on press checks.
- Working with the internal teams to address and resolve any and all quality control issues that may arise and working towards continuous process improvements.
- Working with accounting on invoicing and billing questions or issues.
- Attending scheduled sales meetings and participating in training.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Knowledge of printing processes and capabilities along with a strong sense of design and color
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with competing deadlines.
- Must be a team player.
- Model strong time-management skills with the ability to successfully multi-task and reprioritize at a high level.
- Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn and become an expert in Imagine Chicago proprietary software.
- Maintain flexibility and the ability to adapt to the needs of the business.
- Strong presentation, organizational, communication and people skills
- Proven sales aptitude coupled with the ability to identify and meet customers’ needs and requirements.
- Customer focus and a “can do” attitude.
- Flexibility to travel as needed.
- Previous experience in at least one of the following is preferred:
- ad agency
- visual merchandising
- printing
- print production
- display development and production
- POP
- Experience in digital print production is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to drive, fly and get to client site.
- Frequent sitting for prolonged periods of time.
- Occasional walking.
The annual national pay range for this role is $50,000- $65,000. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission, or incentive program.
