SUMMARY

The Office and Product Coordinator for the Bible Lesson Products department (BLP) supports the publishing of the Bible Lessons through both highly organized administration and innovative production. Working both independently and as part of a dynamic team, this role develops and updates content, supports audio production, conducts interviews and outreach with subscribers and visitors, administers departmental programs, and provides vital assistance to internal and external team members. This role provides valuable experience in close collaboration with experienced members of the Bible Lesson Products team, as well as self-directed and independently managed projects and production activities. The work requires a prayerful and joyful approach to each activity and continual demonstration of humility, clarity, creativity, and organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Update content on BLP websites and digital properties
  2. Provide administrative support to the department and CSPS as a whole
    1. Manage and process vendor paperwork and payments (including translations)
    2. Manage vendor licenses
    3. Execute Bible Lesson pre-production processes
    4. Distribute advance copies
  3. Support Bible Lesson audio production
  4. Subscriber and visitor engagement and research
    1. Schedule and participate in interviews
    2. Draft survey questions
    3. Analyze feedback and data
    4. Draft content for emails and online resources
STAFF MANAGEMENT AND JOB CONTACTS

Supervision: Reports to the Product Manager

Supervises: None

Regular Contacts: Has regular contact with BLP staff, Board of Trustees’ office, CSPS Manager’s office, BMPS, P&DSG, subscribers and website visitors, Treasurer’s office, other departments, and outside vendors and licensees.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience

Must have a college degree and at least one year of experience in an office environment. Writing, project management, and customer engagement or retail experience are plusses.

Knowledge/Skills
  • Spiritual discernment, humility, confidence, and joy. Clear written and verbal communicator. Fearless problem-solver unphased by new, complex challenges. Demonstrated facility coordinating multiple projects with excellent personal and project organization and follow-through. Can set priorities. Interacts with others in a gracious and confident manner at all times as a representative of Bible Lesson Products and develops strong working relationships. Absolute ability to maintain confidentiality. A master organizer. Baking skill or a love of baked goods is highly desirable.
  • Must have a deep love for the Pastor and the Bible Lesson and a clear understanding of their unique place in the Movement.
  • Familiarity with languages other than English and cultures outside North America is a plus.
Technology Skills

Microsoft Office/Google Apps skills are required. Facility with data manipulation (spreadsheet formulas and/or databases) is desirable. Familiarity with text editors, word processors, Adobe Acrobat, and Web publishing technologies is a plus.

A fast-paced, metaphysically-focused department with a deep affection for subscribers on a global scale. The buoyant, tight-knit BLP team is a small group with a large mission. Team members are dedicated to perfection and a prayer-first approach, undaunted by change and challenges. Must be flexible, highly disciplined, and self-motivated, yet able to work as a team member with others in BLP.

Primary Class Instruction and membership in The Mother Church are required.
