Position Overview:
The Program Manager of Safe Harbor Residential Services is responsible for the overall management of Empower House (AOBH) Valhalla and Empower House (AOBH) Flushing. The Program Manager will have experience working with CSEC (Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children) youth as well as residential services. The goal of the Empower House program is to create a therapeutic environment for survivors of sex trafficking/sexual exploitation to heal from the trauma caused by their experiences. The Program Manager supervises and hires Empower House Leadership and may also assist in the hiring, training, and evaluating of direct care staff. They are required to provide program specific training and evaluate the Empower House staff and the program on an ongoing basis.
The Program Manager will have knowledge and experience as related to the treatment modalities implemented at both Empower House Programs to include DBT-ITM and Positive Behavior Modification Strategies. The Program Director will have knowledge about OFCS specific policies that govern Empower Programs and their program implications. The Program Manager will also ensure that the objectives of the agency and the program goals for both Empower House sites are met. It is expected that the Program Manager will also interface with LDSS, ACS, OCFS, Community Providers, and other entities as needed to consistently keep them abreast of how each program is functioning, additionally, they will address any issues that may arise in the operations of the program. The Program Manager will communicate with all OCFS personnel that are involved with inspections of Empower House and ensure everything is up to standard. They will make sure all program staff are trained, aware, and implementing the required protocols.
The Program Manager will have awareness of the contracts and the contractual obligations of Childrens Village in providing services through the Empower House Residential programs. The Program Manager will also have fiscal responsibilities as to the Budget and program related expenditures. They will manage the budget by way of ongoing communication with the Childrens Village Finance Team and Stake Holders. Additionally, the Program Manager will provide oversight of the program and ensure that the program is providing optimal care for our youth, up to and including providing normative experiences, opportunities for skill development, connection to positive adults, and the provision of therapeutic techniques to ensure a healing environment.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Hard-to-Place populations (CSEC preferred)
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in residential services or similar setting
- Knowledge and experience of DBT / ITM treatment modalities preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and promote a therapeutic environment, considering the varying clinical needs of each child.
Salary: $84,000.00 Flat Rate
