Position Overview:
The Children’s Village is committed to preventing out of home placement through the implementation of Evidence Based Programs that provide in-home family therapy to youth who are at risk of placement, arrests and other negative points of entry due to behavior and conflictual relationships. The Senior Clinical Program Director is a highly skilled clinician and administrator who is energetic, supportive, and will oversee the model implementation and overall running of 4 - 6 teams with strong QI/QA. Our goal is to identify and address behaviors placing children at risk and breaking down the walls of isolation that often surround at-risk families. As a community based program we promote the safety of children, strengthening families and help expedite the return of children previously in care. The Children’s Villages uses Evidence Based Programs/Initiatives such as MultiSystemic Therapy (MST) and Functional Family Therapy as treatment modalities within its Programing. CV implements 6 adaptations of MST; MST-Psych, MST-SA, MST-FIT, MST-Prev, MST-EA and MST-PSB and 2 adaptions of FFT; Standard and FFT-CW. The MST and FFT models fit well with the Children’s Village mission statement, strategic intent. CV values using a racial equity lens in the effort to keep families safely together through prevention or reunification and to The EBMs promote social responsibility, education, economic productivity, community responsibility and an intolerance of violence and prejudice.
Position Qualifications:
- Professional license in Social Work (LCSW), Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or Ph.D. in Psychology.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with community evidence-based programming and with administration in a child welfare, mental health or social service agency including a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a social service setting plus 1 year as a Clinical Program Director.
- Proficiency in networking within the child welfare community of NYC & NYS including ACS. Extensive experience in ACS preventive services and Connections preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years engaging in QA tasks.
- MST or FFT experience preferred.
Annual Salary: $103,000 flat rate
