Position Overview:

The Assistant Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and implementation of the teen and adult recreational and social programs as well as the afterschool component, summer and holiday camps. Curriculum and program planning may be suitable for all ages. Knowledge of policy and procedures, meeting regulations of oversight/funders, assuring program compliance, meeting or exceeding target numbers, along with monthly budget oversight are required in order to fill in order to oversee the program in the Director’s absence. Support of the School Age Child Care (SACC) License, the provision of leadership, supervision of staff and community activities which includes literacy programming and other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

Associates Degree or Bachelor Degree. Relevant administrative experience required preferably with DYCD and DOH. Relevant work experience in a school based or community setting working with adults, children and groups. Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail, and meticulous organizational skills. Ability to write clear, concise and accurate reports. Comfort working in team settings and with diverse individuals.  Possess excellent organizational, verbal, written and communication skills. Ability to work with culturally diversified individuals. Must be computer literate. Ability to collect and analyze data. Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.

Salary: $24.72 (Flat Hourly Rate)
