Description
Vice President of Human Resources & Learning for an award-winning, thriving, complex not-for-profit. Reporting to the President and CEO and serving as a key member of the organization’s executive and leadership team, this leader is responsible for vision, strategy and execution of the organization’s human resource and learning functions.
Establishes best practices in the areas of recruitment, retention, benefits, 401K, compensation, performance management, staff development, employee and labor relations, HR and learning information systems and union relations and negotiations. Oversees the management of employee benefits, including an on-site child care facility.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Business, Organizational Development or Human Resources. JD /SPHR- a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of human resource. Labor relations experience in not-for-profit preferred.
- Experience must include a demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of employees.
- Requires well-developed listening, communication, presentation and persuasive skills.
- Comfortable interacting with executives from other organizations and the Board of Trustees, related company employees and vendors.
- Knowledge of union contract negotiations, administration and grievance management – a plus.
- Must demonstrate the ability to interact with emotional intelligence and demonstrate sensitivity and commitment to issues of equity and all areas of diversity, including ethnicity, ability, age, sexual orientation LGBTQ status and religion.
- Must be a high energy problem solver who is determined to build organizational best practices and seek out and grow talent at all levels.
Salary: $216,000 annual
