Description

Position Overview: As Head Teacher, this person coordinates activities with classroom staff and serves as liaison when center-wide activities/concerns are discussed. The Head Teacher will work in partnership with parents to meet needs of children.

Position Specific Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist in planning and implementing the daily program under the direction of the Head Teacher. Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment and preparing needed materials and supplies. Supervise the program when Head Teacher is out of room. Attend required staff meetings, training programs and conferences

Position Qualifications:

Associates degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field. No additional experience required. Child Development Associate Credential or 9 college credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field. Two years childcare experience. Head of group for infants/toddlers: In addition to the above, one year of specific training/experience in infant or toddler care.

Salary: $36,200-$41,630
