Position Overview: The primary task of the Case Manager is to ensure the safe and expedited release of UCs (Unaccompanied Children) to potential sponsors that meet the ORR criteria for release. The Case Manager, in consultation with the Clinician, is responsible for assessing the needs of each UC in care. The Case Manager, along with the Clinician, also develops, implements and coordinates Individual Service Plans (ISP) for UCs. These plans are oriented toward safe family reunification, preparation for return to the country of origin, transfer to a higher level of care or a less restrictive setting, or transition to an alternative living arrangement, once legal immigration status has been obtained. Furthermore, the Case Manager consistently documents the provision of services in each UC’s case file.
Position Qualifications:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in the behavioral sciences, human services or social services fields. Child welfare experience and/or case management experience preferred.
- Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
- Valid state driver’s license preferred.
- Bilingual and Biliterate in English and Spanish
