Position Overview:
Provides group and restorative Circle facilitation. Will supervise a group TEAM mentors daily engagement in program documentation, group prep and facilitation, and 1:1 engagement with youth. Supervise the implementation and structured facilitation of guided journaling curriculum. Work with TEAM program coach/mentor on development and Best Practice Skills. Be expected to participate in meals, groups, counseling, supervision, and lead team meetings. Provide leadership and supervision to other group facilitators within the divisions Cross-facilitation component. Maintaining and tracking data/goals of the program are to help participants advance in education and employment and in building positive relationships in the community.
Assist with planning and coordination of programs and their activities. Monitor implementation of program policies and practices. Monitor mentor schedules and work to keep programs on schedule and functioning effectively.
Position Qualifications:
Minimum 2-3 years working with justice involved youth. Credible Messenger. Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field. Demonstrate initiative and creativity, particularly with adolescents. Demonstrate experience in group work and Restorative Justice Practice. Demonstrate understanding of the issues of the local Bronx and Harlem communities. Demonstrate understanding of the issues facing Black and Latino adolescents. Ability to work as a team member and independently as well as effectively supervise. Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with youth and staff. Demonstrate ability to effectively use a multi-cultural approach in working with special needs youth. Excellent oral communication skills. Excellent writing and computer skills. Ability to receive and take directives from supervisor and senior leadership.
Salary: $30.21 (Flat Hourly Rate)
