Job Summary: To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a secondary Catholic learning community in accordance with the Cristo Rey Curriculum, Florida State Standards, and College Board standards in the areas of:

• English/Language Arts
• Math
• Science
• Social Science

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Cultural
俵phold the Cristo Rey mission, vision and values
髭mbrace school-wide systems and promote high standards of behavior
匹ollaborate with school leadership, providing input to school programs
柊ctively participate in professional development sessions
匹ommunicate professionally with peers, supervisors, parents and students
稗e committed to a longer school day and calendar year
柊dhere to professional guidelines as indicated in the staff handbook
姫articipate in school-wide culture and faith formation events, including, but not limited to Faculty/Staff Retreats, Student Retreats and Mission Meetings
謬o supervise students by being present at all school masses/assemblies
柊s needed, provide substitute classroom coverage
彪alue and support the Corporate Work Study Program as a place of learning and growth for students
必now, teach and follow school-wide routines and procedures
姫erform other duties as assigned

Instructional
髭stablish and maintain a positive classroom environment
姫lan rigorous lessons aligned to the prescribed standards
疋evelop culturally and academically relevant assignments and assessments
疋emonstrate strong classroom management skills
疋ifferentiate lesson plans for a variety of learners
柊dhere to a scope and sequence
肘mplement feedback from administrators and instructional leaders regarding lesson plan design and/or implementation
百upport instruction with school-wide supplemental programs
筆aintain grade books and meet grade reporting deadlines
匹ommunicate with families regarding student academics and behavior
謬utor students in need of remediation
俵tilize planning periods for the advancement of student academics
柊ttend faculty and department meetings as well as in-service and professional development workshops, as directed by the administration
髭ncourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies.
筆aintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development
俵pdate all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, network policies and school regulations.

筆eet professional teacher education requirements of school, network and state

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
稗achelor痴 Degree (required)
姫ossession of a valid Florida teaching license (required)
匹ommitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of Cristo Rey Tampa Salesian High School
百ensitivity to the ethnic, cultural, racial and religious backgrounds of the students
百uperior communication skills, the ability to interact confidently and effectively with schoolstaff, students, donors, trustees, school administration
標orking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), the Internet and relevanttechnology
髭xperience in a faith-based school or not-for-profit environment preferred
疋emonstrated ability to work on a team that requires humility, integrity, tolerance a desire for continuous improvement and openness to feedback
