Description

As our Retail Sales Representative, you are responsible for supporting the sale of Azek and TimberTech products with retail home centers. You will develop relationships with the retail staff, conduct product knowledge training and provide sales assistance to the ProDesk. You are also responsible for contractor engagement in the company’s loyalty program. The position reports to a Regional Sales Manager.

Your Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Builds and establishes relationships at many retail levels, including retail District Managers, Store Managers and Pro Sales Reps.
  • Establishes financial goals and strategic direction that will grow the retail channel within the territory to higher levels of profitability.
  • Effectively communicates with and educates Distributor Outside Sales representatives, TimberTech representatives and retail associates on the TimberTech brand to increase sales, including teaching retail associates how to special-order TimberTech products in-person and/or over the phone.
  • Continually develop the expanded offering of special orders at the retail level.
  • Acts as a liaison for sales and service issues within assigned territory.
  • Performs onsite product demonstrations in the stores to communicate the value of the product.
  • Performs onsite visits with customers to verify customer satisfaction, solidify renewals, ask for referrals and drive up-sell opportunities.
  • Helps to maintain special-order deck displays in retail stores within assigned region.
  • Ensures TimberTech displays and materials are maintained and updated.
  • Investigate and evaluate warranty claims in the field, sending data and information to the Warranty department, if necessary.
  • Contributes to the development of the annual sales plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives
  • Drives sales to meet quarterly/annual revenue goals.
  • Additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management.

We believe the successful candidate will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) or Work Equivalent, Field of Study: Business Administration or related field.
  • Three to Five years of experience in a similar sales position in retail channel; Direct experience with home centers preferred; Proficient knowledge of retail special-order systems.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment that requires a high energy level and the ability to effectively respond to shifting priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upwardly to top management and downward to a wide range of internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrated organization and time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills including: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Interest in up to 60% overnight travel.

Success Measures:

Ninety (90) days:

  • Have identified and visited your top 20 stores and top 20 growth potential stores.
  • Completed Product Training on all three product lines.
  • Been trained on how to successfully complete your MBO’s.
  • Complete ride alongs with 3 Retail Reps and 1 local ASM

Six (6) Months:

  • 4 Contractors signed up for The Board.
  • Visited all Distributor branches and had 3 Distributor Rep ride alongs.
  • Visited stores in all major markets in your territory.

One (1) year:

  • Exceed Sales Incentive Plan goal for Special Order and Stock sales.
  • Meet all MBO requirements.
  • Add one stocking store.
  • Exceed growth targets for Exteriors and Railing sales

Compensation for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience.  The annual salary for this role is $60,000 to $65,000.  In addition to base salary, we offer generous bonus and incentive opportunities that significantly increase earning potential.
