Job Summary:
This position provides exceptional customer service while accurately processing transactions and assisting guests. Greet every customer promptly and courteously, answer phone calls professionally, and provide directions and information regarding Alaska Park’s services and promotions. The role requires strict attention to detail in handling revenue, tickets, and records, while upholding Alaska Park’s standards of professionalism and hospitality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Be present and punctual for all scheduled shifts.
- Greet every guest with a warm, courteous, and professional interaction.
- Answer telephone calls using a polite and professional greeting.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently through point-of-sale systems.
- Issue receipts or tickets to customers for each transaction.
- Compute or recalculate bill from tickets showing amount due.
- Quote prices for parking services.
- Provide directions to guests for various locations.
- Resolve customer concerns independently or escalate to a supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness at work area and surrounding areas, including emptying of trash receptacles.
- Verify logs of shift transactions and compile daily totals.
- Conduct timely inventory checks for work aids.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to use a clock (standard and military time), calculator, and point-of-sale system.
- Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours.
- Must be able to withstand working outside for extended periods of time in seasonal/inclement weather.
- Must be able to walk both indoors and outdoors for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
