The Associate Vice President Global Brand Marketing will lead all functions of the brand marketing teams, including Go-To-Market, Content, Social & Media Partnerships and Retail & Design Operations to conceptualize, develop and implement world-class marketing strategies, content, and campaigns to grow our brands. Provides overall direction and leadership to the marketing organization and creates a culture that inspires high impact, contribution, performance, and quality from the marketing team. Will participate as a key member of the leadership team and will evaluate the company’s current and future brand marketing needs and develop and build the appropriate structure.

This position requires a massively talented marketer, a passionate golfer, great storyteller, a strategist, a creative mind, and inspirational leader with management skills. What does that mean? We want ideas that bridge offline/online, static, retail, print, web, mobile, social, gaming, etc. and excite the hell out of the consumer. It’ll take a love of golf, desire for the new, quick decision making, thriving in constant-change and a passion for our brands to help lead TaylorMade into the future.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the brand teams to set the overall marketing strategy and ensure that it is aligned the brand strategic initiatives. Support the development of brand positioning and strategy.
  • Develop and drive successful marketing business plans including objectives and subsequent strategies covering all aspects of the creation and GTM mix – Design, Operations, Sports Marketing, Brand Marketing and Sales across all channels.
  • Lead innovation in the areas of storytelling, branding, marketing, product, and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with key global regional marketing teams to develop and implement executional plans for brand campaigns. Lead global adoption of campaigns by partnering with regions to drive alignment across regions.
  • Create and execute marketing tactics and plans to launch new products and excite the marketplace.
  • Lead our digital strategies and teams to drive brand behaviors through all digital platforms.
  • Oversight of internal retail and design teams to drive brand positioning through all consumer materials to implement core brand look and feel.
  • Maintain and oversee specific relationships with external agency partners (advertising, creative & digital agencies, and other partners) to develop breakthrough thinking around the brands and products. Responsible for selecting and contracting with agencies and revamping as necessary.
  • Plan and oversee all media strategies and spend including digital, TV, print, social, radio, and direct marketing initiatives.
  • Maximize customer acquisition and segmentation, customer loyalty, brand awareness and both horizontal and vertical marketing opportunities. Work with cross functional team to identify and develop platforms that will increase brand equity and sales.
  • Utilize an intimate understanding of competitor, consumer, industry, and business insights to identify major opportunities and threats (data driven).
  • In partnership with internal Analytics team, evaluate competitor strategies, tactics, and performance.
  • Manage the US and global marketing working budget for all marketing initiatives.
  • Develop marketing content strategy plan for all product categories. Oversee creation of branded content for all channels (i.e., social, advertising, tour, product training)
  • Plan and present GTM content and strategies for meetings.  
  • Lead, inspire, develop, and manage a group of high functioning, highly creative individuals to perform at the highest level and support world-class brands. Ensure organizational efficiency through collaboration, training, and development of the internal teams.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

Education, Training, Professional Certification and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or another related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in business with a proven track record as a senior marketing leader with best-in-class, fast moving, consumer-focused companies where marketing was the defining driver of success.
  • Experience with brands within multiple categories and distributed through multiple channels within a corporate environment, where there is a consistent image and message.
  • Experience working with retail partners in developing and executing marketing strategies based on customer needs.
  • Extensive demonstrated experience in leading, inspiring, and developing collaborative, high functioning teams, both directly and cross-functionally.

  • Strong influencing skills and will be a change agent, creating collaborative discussions and environments
  • Ability to be flexible and work within a fast paced, ever-changing environment

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Primarily office environment
  • Ability to work extended hours/weekends as needed
  • Frequent domestic travel & occasional international travel required

TaylorMade is a performance driven organization and our total rewards approach to compensation is designed to support this. We consider many factors in determining base compensation, including position scope, job related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. The expected annual base pay range for this position is $185,000 - $240,000. Additional benefits, such as health & wellness, performance bonuses, product discounts, holidays, paid time off, etc. may also be offered in accordance with our plans.
