POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for conducting training sessions and providing instruction to internal and external customers in order to increase employee and customer competency levels regarding on-highway, off-highway, and marine diesel engines, transmissions, and related equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Conduct training needs analysis to determine specific training needs.
• Identify and source training programs/materials from vendors in order to provide training programs. Ensure timely delivery of training materials needed for course.
• Develop post training assessment tools and evaluate students post training for overall progress and reactions to presentations and exercises used to present training material.
• Assist with the development and implementation of new and refresher training courses.
• Conduct factory level training on assigned product line(s) for employees and outside customers and distributors. Provide instruction to students in a manner that enables the students to acquire the necessary skills as specified by the course objectives. Deliver training in a classroom and/or hands-on environment.
• Manage classroom logistics and preparation. Perform periodic examinations during the course of instruction to determine if students are achieving the course objectives. Maintain class records and employee evaluations. Communicate evaluations and test scores to appropriate individuals.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and three to seven years related experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), and PowerPoint
CERTIFICATES & LICENSES
Volvo Penta Industrial Engine Certification preferred
Volvo Penta Marine Engines & Systems Certification preferred
Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA Expert) Certification preferred
Allison Transmission Certification preferred
DEUTZ Engine Certification preferred
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Prior training experience on diesel engine and transmission products and equipment preferred. Associate degree in Diesel Technology and/or Experience as a Sr. Technician is preferred
