TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Part-Time, up to 40 hours per week, not to exceed an average of 24 hours per week throughout the fiscal year. Hours may include morning, evening and/or weekend hours based on individual availability.

CLASSIFICATION: Contracted

Hourly Rate: $20.00 per hour

FLSA STATUS: Hourly/Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY: Provide transportation for athletic team competition and field trips as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive 14-passenger van for athletic team competition and field trips as assigned.
  • Maintain qualification and credentials for driving 14-passenger van.
  • Collaborate with coaches and faculty on trips to ensure collegiate goals of trip.
  • Report vehicle issues/concerns to maintain safe and properly operating vehicles.
  • Report all motor vehicle accidents to the police, College campus patrol, and the Business Office no matter how small the cost of damage or who is at fault
  • Implement emergency procedures (including but not limited to roadside assistance) as needed to ensure safety and care of all passengers.
  • Follow college policies and procedures related to employment and motor vehicle usage.
  • Observe all traffic regulations and ensure safe operation of the vehicle at all times.
  • Provide other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Under the general supervision of the Executive Director of Business Services

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must be 21 years of age or older with no less than 2 years of driving experience. Must have a valid driver’s license issued in the United States. Commercial Driver’s license (CDL) preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with the public providing excellent customer service.
  • Must provide authorization to allow college to access and review personal motor vehicle driving record.
