Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Logistics Program Manager to join Block’s Proto Operations team, a growing team building bitcoin related hardware. We have exciting plans to ship Bitcoin Hardware products to customers all around the globe in a fast, reliable, economical, and elegant fashion. This role will be involved in several aspects of logistics including: Supporting D2C and retail channel fulfillment in the US, responsible for the global customer returns/reverse logistics program. manage the relationship and daily operations of our 3PLs, and contribute to the expansion strategy as we scale. This role requires operational and strategic expertise: you will be handling WISMO [Where is my order?] inquiries from customers in the US working through partners to ensure fast followup and resolution, proactively monitoring tracking reports to identify issues and trends, as well as contributing to our global growth strategy as we bring up new manufacturing and warehousing partners around the world.
The ideal candidate has expertise in D2C and retail logistics, reverse logistics, vendor management, inventory analysis, and cost reduction. You will work with internal teams (ie - operations, customer support, trade compliance, engineering and product) and external partners (ie - vendors, carriers, and agencies) to troubleshoot any problems that may arise including delays and transportation issues. You may be a good fit for this role if you’re passionate about logistics, adept at making risk based decisions, and prioritize providing a great customer experience. You will report to the Global Logistics and Fulfillment Lead.
This role is based in the United States and is open to all individuals who can partner with our teams, including working across multiple time zones in the US, EU, and APAC.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and track orders, proactively identify orders with issues, and work to resolve them asap.
Manage the logistics process for Bitkey direct to consumer shipments, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness of Proto products (Bitkey & Mining)
Build relationships with internal and external partners, ie CS, shipping carriers & 3PLs
Own the 3PL relationship; monitor and resolve issues related to receiving, inventory, order fulfillment and returns
Support all aspects of returns and reverse logistics
Collaborate with marketing, partnerships, SDM, and Ops as we build out the logistics retail pipeline
Analyze shipping data and develop reports to provide insights into performance and cost savings
Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize shipping routes and reduce transportation costs
Identify and resolve logistics-related issues that may arise, including delays and transportation issues
Qualifications
You Have:
5+ years of progressive experience including: outbound and reverse logistics, 3PL setup & management, e-commerce and retail channels
Experience with project management & logistics software and systems, such as BigCommerce, Oracle, TMS, WMS, ERP systems, Linear and Zendesk or similar
Experience managing both carriers and warehousing partners
Experience managing costs and driving cost reduction across the supply chain.
Strong reverse logistics experience
Freight logistics experience a plus
International logistics experience a plus
Strong customer orientation and passion to deliver great experiences
Ability to analyze data to identify trends and insights, and make decisions based on data
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Additional Information
Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $167,300 - USD $204,500
Zone B: USD $158,900 - USD $194,300
Zone C: USD $150,600 - USD $184,000
Zone D: USD $142,200 - USD $173,800
