About the Role:
The Assistant Coordinator role is to support locally and provide services to the Emergency Medicine and Residency/Student Program. The Assistant Coordinator will report directly to the EM Coordinator, Residency Program Manager, and/or the Site Program Manager, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of the program. The Assistant Coordinator will have a visible presence and involvement with the EM leadership team and clinicians, including the Residency, Medical Student, APP Student, and Research Programs.
The Details:
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting Residency Program Manager with the following:
- Supporting the onboarding, orientation and evaluation process for Residents
- Supporting the Residency Conference and Medical Student activities
- Assisting with coordination of Faculty Meetings, to include scheduling, room/material facilitation and meeting minutes
- Assisting in the maintenance of Residency files and documentation
- Assisting EM Coordinator with the following:
- Managing incoming phone calls and faxes
- Collecting, sorting and distributing mail
- Maintaining office appearance, to include maintenance requests and supply orders
- Responsible for greeting and assisting guests
- Assisting with coordination and planning logistics for all special events
- Coordinating onboarding, orientation and evaluation processes for Off-service Residents, Medical Students and APP Students
- Supporting Medical Student Directors
- Supporting Research Directors & Research Assistant Program
- Collecting paperwork from Adult ED/ Trauma/ Peds on a regular basis
- Ability to ambulate throughout hospital campus
- Additional duties as assigned

Knowledge:
- BA/BS or relevant experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience:
- Ideally, 3-4 years customer service, 3-4 years data entry and/or file management, 2-3 years working in Healthcare or office setting
