Purpose: Spread, cut, and bundle garments on a cutting table using a pattern and following method guidelines.            

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1.       Retrieve pattern/marker and order sheet from clerk.

2.       Check marker against order sheet to ensure correct information.

3.       Mark table for splices.

4.       Spread fabric on table stopping occasionally to count plies.

5.       Cut out marker. Check cut pieces for correct measurements against pattern.

6.       Tie up bundles and discard into container for storage. Identify container with content information.

7.       Locate container to warehouse.

8.       Relocate un-used roll to warehouse with correct information written on roll sticker.

9.       Sweep floor and empty buggies of excess table cutting waste.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

1.       Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

2.       Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

3.       Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

1.       One year related experience and/or training;

2.       Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

3.       Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.

4.       Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a productive nature.
