Sodexo has an exciting opportunity for a Full-time Campus Registered Dietitian for Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island. This RD will work with the Campus Chef, Executive Chef, Director of Operations and other members of the management team to deliver a quality nutrition program to the Providence College Community.
This is a great opportunity for an RD interested in stepping into the Universities Segment, or for a new grad who is passionate about working with college students!
The successful candidate will:
- be a Registered Dietitian credentialed with CDR and licensed in RI;
- conduct tabling sessions across the campus and create regular communications intended to motivate and engage the population in healthy eating habits;
- provide guidance, meal recommendations and support to students who have dietary restrictions;
- promote nutritional awareness through newsletters, social media, sampling, and tabling events;
- collaborate with operations teams to develop wellness programs and menus for resident dining and retail locations;
- be an expert in allergen control; train and support food service staff on allergen control in special dining areas;
- participate in campus and community events and develop and deliver presentations as needed to support client goals.

Position Summary
Responsible for providing direct comprehensive nutrition services
Key Duties
-Directs nutrition care of special needs population to ensure nutrition needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.
-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
-Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.
-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
-Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
