Software Engineer (Pittsburgh, PA or Andover, MA)

The Software Engineer will be involved in research/design/testing of medical devices.
What will you be doing?
- Will be involved with pre-operatively planning surgical cases for knee, hip, and shoulder replacement.
- Will be responsible for working directly with customers such as sales representatives and orthopedic surgeons.
- Work directly with the Pre-operative Planning and Robotics teams.
- Identify and implement software improvements into preoperative planning process
- Attend departmental and project meetings.
- Participate in project team for assigned projects; analyze improvements and new product or applications and develops requirements and specifications with team.
- Works within specifications provided to meet project goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner.
- Effectively works with peers, project team members, and other departments in new product development, product line extensions, and product enhancements.
What will you need to be successful?
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required (Software Engineering or Computer Science preferred)
- 0 - 2 years experience with programming software (Python, JavaScript, and at least one compiled language preferred)
- Creative, analytical, and structured thinker and problem solver who strives to execute
- Knowledge of total knee, hip, or shoulder replacement preferred
- Excellent communication & presentation skills (oral & written)
- Strong computer skills - Exposure to 3D modeling and programming
- Attention to detail
