Your Career

Bring your backend java cloud engineering skills to work on the latest cloud software/web applications. Help us design, build, deploy and scale the next generation of cloud security platform. We are looking for a Sr Principal Engineer who loves to code with a drive to build global products and bring new ideas to develop security disciplines to solve real-world problems.

Your Impact

  • Contribute in all phases of the product development cycle, from definition, design, through implementation and test. Drive features from conception to delivery

  • Collaborate closely with the product management, architects and DevOps to achieve quality releases

  • Work hand-in-hand with customer support, documentation and downstream teams to enable customer success

  • Make appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to-release while maintaining performance and scalability requirements

  • Clearly communicate goals and desired outcomes to internal project teams

  • Interview, mentor and coach junior team members

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering with 10+ years or equivalent experience 

  • Advanced-level of experience as hands-on Core Java Software Engineer in a distributed/cloud-based product

  • Solid experience with Spring framework, Rest API, ElasticSearch, Kubernetes and Docker

  • Solid experience with cloud infrastructure & services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure )

  • Strong experience and knowledge with micro services, distributed systems, and performance optimization

  • Solid experience with database architecture design, including scalability, performance, and resilience

  • Solid troubleshooting skills with the ability to mitigate and resolve complex production issues quickly

  • Good understanding of data processing pipeline designs – including ingestion, ETL, queries, large scale storage

  • Experience with Agile development process and embrace Agile methodologies

  • Strong believer of automation tests and strive for higher code coverage

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to work with multi-functional groups

  • Can-do attitude on problem-solving, quality and ability to execute in a dynamic working environment

  • Be a self-starter, able to learn independently and adapt quickly

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $170000 - $275000 per year . The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here
