Job Description
To select and procure the product assortment range for company owned retail stores in Europe utilizing factors such as OTB (open to buy) financials, localized market needs, seasonal trends, pricing strategies and SKU management needs. This position works closely with Planning, Allocations, Visual, Marketing and Store Operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS-
- Collaborates and works closely with the Director of International Merchandising and US Domestic Merchandisers in identifying quarterly and seasonal assortment selections.
- Develop assortment plans tailored to the International market by driving sales based on store volume, sku count capabilities, and store capacities to ensure appropriate depth is achieved by store volume and size.
- Effectively achieve company sales plans by consistently reviewing and editing product assortments within bulks and stores on a weekly basis
- Review assortment sell thru, pricing opportunities by channel concept vs. outlet.
- On monthly basis collaborates alignment with frontline's markdown and promo cadences and modify/adapt as appropriate for international locations.
- Initiate quarterly buys for all new styles, re-buys for core carry over styles.
- Identify, develop, and manage an assortment of new and core product ownership in the Belgium & UK warehouse to fulfill store replenishment.
- Strong ability in Analyzing product history and trends, strategize and react, based on the findings from company generated reports to drive sales.
- Provide guidance and vision to the allocations team that reflects the desired assortments in all store types, through the master assortment planning tool by Quarter.
- Create assortment plans for all new stores, and referencing Top 24 by division.
- Participate in all assortment meetings (retail and corporate)
- Local Market Knowledge and Analysis
- Understand local market holidays and their merchandising implications and product depth during these peak periods
- Participates in the effective management of the localization of merchandise from the EDC (European & UK distribution center) product lines in a timely manner, accounting for product sensitivities
- Understands which products have been identified to be advertised in mailers by the domestic brand merchants; understands big ideas
- Manage website maintenance and ensure all retail bulks for at once are properly listed. Identify opportunities and prioritize work flow for the maximum impact on business growth.
- Build seasonal product eCommerce strategies and ensure all products support the brand strategies, and make changes to drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with Planning to ensure appropriate product distribution to maximize sales goals for international business
- Participates in the management of OTB (open to buy) established by Planning by influencing quantities to order by style, color, and size for international locations
- Partner with Allocations to develop and implement replenishment, reorder and store transfer plans for the international business
- Pricing & Product Lifecycle Management, planned through the Quarterly Maps
- Assists in identifying business opportunities and risks in-season through analyzing sales performance and gathering marketplace performance
Qualifications
- Ability to work on-site
- Possess the strong ability to understand and act upon financial retail indicators such as sales, inventory productivity, and sell-through.
- Organizational skills with ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills, must be proficient in Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis
- Broad-based business acumen
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-
- Must Bachelor’s degree preferably with a business background
- 4+ years of general merchandising experience, Buying and Brand Building

Pay range for this position is $85,000-$100,000.
