Job Description

The individual will be responsible for the creation, preparation, and distribution of all financial contracts summarizing product orders to SKECHERS’ related and non-related parties.  

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS-

  • Input orders daily (either automatically or manually) into in-house computer system and validate for correct terms, discount, pricing.
  • Review and audits all 3rd party (vendors) Proforma Invoices for accuracy and update the orders in the system accordingly.
  • Prepare requests for financial payment to secure export shipments of SKECHERS’ product to non-related parties (i.e. Letters of Credit, Collections, Wire Transfers, etc.).
  • Reviews and updates all orders that prevent the download of Pick Tickets onto the system.
  • Prepares manual billings for miscellaneous items and forwards them to the respective party.
  • Monitors readiness of all directly manufactured products for clients. Once financially secure, forwards instructions to Skechers’ 3rd party agents.
  • Researches and responds to all client concerns with respect to financial differences as assigned by the Export Finance Manager.
  • Interacts with appropriate personnel both within and outside the company in relation to orders’ pricing, terms and financial contracts. Maintains effective communication in order to stay current on all activities.
  • Assumes primary responsibility of all filing associated with all accounts’ finance reconciliation items. Inputs statistical data into online systems for proper tracking. Reviews documentation for completion.
  • Prepares necessary reporting data as needed by Management.
  • Reports any and all issues to the Export Finance Manager.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management with respect to Export Finance Operations as assigned/needed.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS-

  • Detail oriented with high percentage of accuracy.
  • Good analytical, mathematical and reasoning ability.
  • Excellent business communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Must be able to multi-task and with good organizational skills.
  • Familiar with Export Finance and Shipping terminology.
  • Computer proficient and with extensive knowledge of Microsoft WORD, Microsoft EXCEL, Microsoft ACCESS.
  • Knowledge of/or Exposure to general Sales and Inventory / Accounting Operating Systems.
  • Knowledge of basic Accounting procedures, billing and related fields.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-

  • B.A. degree from four-year College or university desirable, or at least one to two years’ experience within a financial environment with general exposure to International or Global Trade operations. 
  • Candidate must have taken courses in Accounting.
  • Certification in Global Logistics or Trade Operations welcome.

Pay range for this position is $25 - $30 / hour.
