Job Description

JOB PURPOSE-

The Valet supports the team responsible for Skechers’ on-site valet service, parking of many different types of vehicles with both standard and manual transmissions and providing guest and employee transportation between facilities and assigned parking areas. This team also transports goods, food, and equipment between Skechers facilities on behalf of the food and beverage department. Additionally, this position is responsible for following all safety and incident reporting guidelines associated with this position.

This role is also responsible for creating a friendly, positive work environment and a first-class guest experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-

• Greet all guests and employees in a warm, friendly, and professional manner, providing a first-class Skechers experience.
• Park and valet cars carefully, efficiently, and in a timely manner, in accordance with policies and procedures established by management.
• Facilitate the safe and timely transportation of employees using the valet service between corporate buildings.
• Facilitate the effective transport of goods, food, and equipment on behalf of the food and beverage department.
• Direct traffic to keep the flow of cars organized and smooth while ensuring pedestrian safety.
• Direct the movement of vehicles and the organization of parking lots for efficiency and safety.
• Ensure all the vehicles under valet care are kept locked.
• Effectively maintain the daily key library and distribute keys to their owners in a timely and accurate manner.
• Inspect vehicles to detect any damage and complete incident reports as needed.
• Transfer vehicle keys and completed shift reports to the next shift’s employee and/or Skechers Security as needed.
• Inspect parking areas with specific attention to cleanliness and appearance; complete small cleaning or maintenance tasks including sweeping, wiping down surfaces and equipment, emptying trash, picking up trash, and changing light bulbs as needed.
• Monitor and maintain the safety and security of Skechers parking areas, escalating issues to Skechers Security as needed and enforcing Skechers’ policy against loitering on company property.
• Comply with the Skechers Café uniform requirements and maintain a professional presence.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• Must have a valid California driver’s license and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record; with no more than 2 points.
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Must be 18 years of age and/or older.
• Must be able to work Monday through Friday and periodic weekends.
• Must maintain full compliance with the company’s Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.
• Ability to work on-site and outside in varying weather conditions.
• Good communication skills (both written and oral).
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
• High level of professionalism and ethics.
• Ability to work with or without supervision.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, quick-moving environment.
• Demonstrated sense of urgency and timeliness.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of valet experience.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.

Pay range for this position is $23-$25/hr
