Sentar is looking for Systems Engineers to support the U.S. Air Force’s Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program out of Roy, UT. The scope of this contract is to replace the Minuteman III missile.
Role Description:
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Develops Interface requirements within DOORS and CAMEO MBSE product toolsets.
- Support systems engineering activities including use case development, requirements definition/allocation, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification & validation, and requirements traceability to the test plans
- Develop/Maintain descriptive system models in UAFP, SysML, and UML using MBSE tools to define interfaces, physical/functional block diagrams, and behaviors
- Coordinate with integrated product teams for establishing content within the architecture.
Qualifications:
Clearance :Secret with SAP Eligibility (investigation/adjudicated within the past 6 years)
Education: Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline.
Experience:
5 years systems engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 3 years with a Master’s degree.
Required:
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience, demonstrating broad technical experience across multiple platforms, and encompassing the entire product development lifecycle.
- Detailed, hands-on experience using one or more of the following common MBSE tools in the areas of Architecture, Design, and V&V: Cameo, Rhapsody, Sparx EA, DOORS, Teamcenter, etc.
Preferred:
- Experience with Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Systems Modeling Language (SYSML), and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
- Experience defining systems architecture for developing and decomposing requirements and system functions, developing functional and physical system architectures, and defining interfaces.
- Experience developing large, complex systems and holding cross-functional architecture reviews.
- Experience with physical security systems.
- Previous Systems Engineering experience and understanding of the Systems Engineering Process.
- Experience with Agile Development.
- Experience using Requirement’s repository tools
