Job Description
Working for an OEM in on a powertrain project leading activities in the system design team. Involved in leading teams in design and engineering changes for components, sub-systems and vehicle level systems. Working with internal and external engineering teams.
Support vehicle/powertrain problem identification and resolution.
Provide direction to team for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Lead teams in teardown analysis, documentation and reporting of warranty returns and on-going product development.
Provide direction/recommendations to other teams impacted by the identified issues.
Lead meetings with teams and management.
Track all issues and provide status reports to teams and management.
Present status and issue findings and corrective actions to management
Qualifications
BS/MS - Mechanical Engineering
5+ years of engine systems design and development
Dyno and vehicle development experience
Vehicle integration experience
Warranty analysis, teardown and field failure analysis experience
Interface with dealer service groups on customer issues
Experience with problem solving
Experience with leading teams and good communication skills.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Demonstration with working with quality teams is also required.
Additional Information
Travel to engine and vehicle assembly plants may be required
Travel to supplier sites may also be required.
