Essential Duties

  • Coordinate and monitor all Contract Customer shipments
  • Ensure all resources (labor, docks, floor space, powered industrial equipment, RF scanners) are used effectively
  • Utilize SAP to manage Contract Customer inventory, coordinate shipments, maintain inventory, allocate orders, verify order accuracy, invoice orders, etc
  • Coordinate logistics staff daily work according to availability and requirements
  • Oversee order planning and order fulfillment
  • Plan, coordinate and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements
  • Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders and maintaining perpetual inventory records of all material in BestCo warehouses.
  • Complete all documentation in accordance with company procedures
  • Ensure all Contract Special Shipment requirements are met for all contract shipments
  • Creation of Bill of Lading, Packing Slips, and Pallet Labels
  • Facilitate driver check-in/check-out processes
  • Ensure load verification forms are created and verified for each shipment.

Assist in and backup in all areas for Logistic Coordinator l.

  • Notification to freight companies for pick-up appointments
  • Preparation of outgoing UPS shipments and distribution of incoming UPS
  • Verify accuracy of incoming production tickets from the factory when there are errors.
  • Assist in preparation of sample orders when needed.
  • Work with outpack when necessary to coordinate shipments of shipper displays.
  • Maintain files of all necessary shipping documentation.
  • Complete Goods Inward Notes on Returns from Customers
  • Record exact cases, lot numbers, and pallet numbers of all outgoing freight.
  • Prepare Bills of Lading for outgoing freight
  • Prepare packing lists for outgoing shipments and fax copy to customer when requested.
  • Prepare any special reports of inventories when requested.
  • Assist Inventory Control Coordinator when requested
  • Assist in annual physical inventory.
  • Other duties when assigned.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Experience in forklift operation.
  • Knowledge of shipping procedures and practices.
  • Experience in inventory control.
  • Possess high level of personal integrity.
  • Able to work independently/self-starter/detail oriented.
  • Ability to problem solve quickly and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to multi-task and coordinate activities across a broad range of tasks
  • Working knowledge of outgoing shipment processes
  • Good writing, math, and organizational skills.
  • Be able to handle multi-task.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Maintain good personal hygiene.
  • Ability to communicate well with administrative personnel, middle management and customers when necessary.

 Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED with eighteen months warehouse/logistics experience
  • 6 months of Customer Service experience
  • Working knowledge of logistics software (ERP – SAP preferred)
  • Ability to work with little supervision & track multiple processes
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours

Preferred Qualifications:

  •  BS/BA in business administration, supply chain management or relevant field or Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school
  • Forklift certified and proficient in stand up and sit-down lifts
  • Experience in a cGMP regulated industry
  • Knowledge of DOT Regulations
  • Knowledge of relevant logistics-related laws, regulations and requirements
