The Commercialization Project Manager is responsible for the programs and projects of a specific business unit within the organization and ensuring timely delivery of key objectives and achieving new innovation commercialization goals.  The Commercialization Project Manager's responsibilities include maintaining and expanding relationships with strategic important stakeholders within the business unit, both internally and externally, supporting and giving guidance to internal department leaders on project execution, supporting the organization in the execution of growth goals, and leading the development of internal project management tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

SCN BestCo’s commercialization process requires the coordination of multiple internal departments and external customer counterparts including R&D, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Regulatory and Manufacturing. The Commercialization Project Manager will be responsible for managing the execution of tasks by multiple project leaders and contributors. 

The Commercialization Project Manager will lead activities associated with their assigned business unit including the following:

  • Assessment of projects targeted at reaching specific business unit goals and objectives or strengthening consumerand customer satisfaction.
  • Development of project budgets, timelines, and business cases for new projects including preparing responses tocustomer RFIs and RFQs.
  • Management of timely and efficient execution of projects
  • Collaboration with project and department leaders in the planning and execution of project tasks from ideation tocommercialization
  • Coordination and management of program team meetings including the concise documentation of executed tasks,action items and program governance.
  • Publishing of monthly program goal achievement and financial growth achievements
  • Identification, assignment and training of project managers for projects including acting as the project manager forcritical projects.
  • Implementation of project management best practices and associated tools including the development of internalsystems, manual and digital
  • Collaboration with internal departments, using a cross-functional team approach to maximize communication andresources in an effort to operate as effectively as possible while ensuring successful project development andexecution
  • Management of issues arising from program execution including escalation internally and externally
  • Evaluation of past program and project execution and achievement of expected goals
  • Performance of other job duties associated with achieving business unit growth and performance expectations

 Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in business or a technical field (must understand basic principles of business management, forecasting, budgeting, market projections and how they influence and relate to project and program execution)
  • A minimum of 5 years of project management and/or account management experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with internal and external customers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to senior level leaders
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and PLM tools
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with efficiency and accuracy
  • Detail-oriented, highly motivated, self-starter with relentless determination
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively approach challenges and opportunities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Operate with a high level of honesty and integrity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP certification
  • Familiarity with Pharmaceutical sector and management of healthcare projects
  • At least 10 years of combined experience in project management, account management, business development, supply chain management, and/or research and development
  • Experience managing a matrixed organization (multiple decision makers)
