Job Description
To provide a safe, nurturing environment with enriching and
developmentally appropriate experiences that lead to opportunities for social, emotional, physical and academic learning.

Collaborate with other educators to create daily routines, activities and lessons to enhance each child’s Pre-Kindergarten experience and prepare them for Kindergarten. 80% of the instruction will be in Spanish and 20% will be in English.

Track and assess children’s progress. Keep anecdotal notes of each child and create opportunities for each child to meet their social and academic possibilities.

Maintain ongoing communication with parents through daily “Today’s Happening” emails and Monthly Newsletters. Two Parent/Teacher Conferences are also required.

Participate in ten hours of Professional Development, related to Early Childhood Development and Curriculum. Complete First Aid and CPR training annually.

Attend all Team Curriculum Planning Meetings and Staff Meetings.

Required Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education
Professional working proficiency in Spanish
Two years experience as a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher preferred
Ability to work in a team setting
Must be authorized to work in the United States
