Job Description Prepare, cook and serve food. Operate the Point of Sales register.
Hours 4 hours/day 3 days per week

Qualifications
Able to work in a standing position for prolonged periods.
Able to lift materials weighing up to 45 pounds.
Able to be exposed to heat while cooking and preparing foods.
Has manual dexterity to handle knives and other pieces of kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers and steamers.
Hazards may include, but are not limited to cuts from knives and slicers, burns.
Experience with a computerized point of sales system would be a plus.
Current Certificate in Servsafe food handler would be a plus.
Partake in any other Professional Development scheduled by the Director and required by the USDA under the Professional Standards Requirements.
Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and adhering to food safety procedures
Produces appealing, nutritious meals and snacks to maintain and grow the program participation and satisfaction for both students and adults.
Ensures proper serving temperature and palatability of food prior to serving.
Ensures proper portion control measures are followed to eliminate food shortages and minimize waste.
Must be able handle cash and transactions quickly and appropriately
Follow procedures to maintain appropriate inventory levels, & rotate stock.
Maintains an appropriate level of sanitation in the facility following safe food handling practices.
Performs other tasks as assigned by the Manager or the Food Service Director and/or Assistant Food Service Director.
