Job Purpose
Business Analyst Interns will be responsible for workflow process review, conducting user interviews, documenting processes and training procedures, creating and maintaining customer run books, and standardizing documentation filing procedures. Excellent communication and leadership skills are required to excel in this role. The Business Analyst Intern will collaborate with multiple groups to understand, document, and ensure consensus on processes and associated training materials. This will be guided by RACI modeling. The role necessitates a basic understanding of workflow management, strong written communication skills, expertise in Microsoft Word, intermediate proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, and some exposure to Visio. This individual will be expected to work independently with minimal guidance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in analyzing and optimizing workflow processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct in-depth user interviews and observations to gather insights into current processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop comprehensive process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), process maps, and workflow diagrams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create and maintain customer run books, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for service delivery.
- Standardize documentation filing procedures to improve accessibility and organization of critical information.
- Utilize RACI modeling to clarify roles and responsibilities within project teams and ensure accountability.
- Coordinate and facilitate regular status meetings to track project progress, address challenges, and adjust plans as needed.
- Provide clear and concise weekly updates on project activities, including milestones achieved, challenges encountered, and next steps.
- Create detailed project plans outlining tasks, dependencies, timelines, and resource requirements to ensure successful project execution.
- Proactively identify risks and issues impacting project delivery, and work with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Actively pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to critically evaluate complex processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the capacity to lead cross-functional teams and drive consensus on process improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word, for data analysis, documentation, and report generation.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools, such as Gantt charts, project schedules, and task management software.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables and documentation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Previous experience or coursework in process optimization, workflow design, or industrial engineering concepts is preferred but not required.

- Hybrid work environment which consists of 2 mandatory “all-in” days, 1 variable day, and 2 virtual days. Hybrid work environment is applied per position/department and may be subject to change per changes in the Policy.
