Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Cloud Developer to join an innovative team in Washington, DC. This position supports the development of mission-critical applications for a federal government client focused on national security. The successful candidate will be developing an AWS cloud environment using cutting edge technology. The developer will work in conjunction with other government and contractor developers to assist in all facets of development and O&M for the application.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy web applications using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and DynamoDB
  • Develop and maintain serverless architectures using AWS services such as API Gateway, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch
  • Create and maintain automated deployment pipelines using AWS CodePipeline and CodeBuild
  • Design and develop cloud-native applications using AWS services such as ECS, EKS, and Fargate
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as CloudFormation and CloudWatch
  • Monitor and troubleshoot application performance using AWS services such as CloudWatch and X-Ray
  • Develop and maintain security best practices for AWS services such as IAM, KMS, and CloudTrail
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS services such as CodePipeline and CodeBuild
  • Design and develop serverless applications using AWS services such as Lambda and Step Functions
  • Develop and maintain automated backup and disaster recovery solutions using AWS services such as EBS and S3
Requirements
  • Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI
  • 8 years of experience developing comprehensive and innovative technical solutions with at least 1 year experience with 1 of the 3 major cloud service providers (Amazon, Microsoft, or Google). Experience architecting and migrating on-premises applications into a cloud platform.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline. Associate level certification is a substitute for 2 years’ experience.
  • Experience with AWS services, specifically CloudFormation, EC2, Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS
  • Experience architecting and migrating on-premises applications into a cloud platform.
Preferred Additional Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience with Docker and AWS ECS
  • Programming Languages: Java, HTML, JavaScript, C#, .NET Suite, AWS Suite with Lambda
  • Experience with Gitlab/Jira
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
