We are looking for a Solutions Architect, responsible for developing the solution, facilitating working sessions, and collaborating with capture teams in developing integrated technical, management, staffing, and pricing solutions that meet or exceed the requirements of complex federal proposals across all operating groups.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline (STEM)
  • 7+ years related experience working in a civilian or DoD government contracting environments with a broad stroke of experience from operations, project management, contracting, strategic plan development, subcontractor management, teaming strategies and emerging technologies.
  • 7+ years successful experience in interacting with customers as well as company senior executives.
  • Basic understanding of 1) the OSI model, 2) middleware and 3) application software
  • Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience in software engineering, design architecture, analyzing computer hardware and software solutions
  • Understanding of best practices regarding system security measures and business analysis techniques
  • Proven work experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role
  • Strong demonstration of organization skills, written & orals presentations
  • Must have the ability to clearly relay technical knowledge to both technical and non-technical people, written and verbally using a strength based solutioning model.
  • Ability deal with vague and unclear requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 15%

Desired Qualifications:

  • Understanding of coding languages
  • Sec+ is highly desirable
  • Net+ is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of agency operating systems and databases
  • Cloud certification
  • Experience in the use of Tableau, SharePoint, JIRA and Confluence
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related STEM field
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or its DoD equivalent or coursework

Key Responsibilities for Solution Architects will include:

  • Lead proposal efforts using industry, company and customer vetted, recognized, and innovative solutions to respond to Government objectives in RFP development efforts.
  • Engage in project communications with client using a consultative approach. Anticipate obstacles and recommend solution options as they relate to the solution. Focus on client value and satisfaction while balancing corporate objectives, feasibility, and scalability of solution.
  • Define and adhere to company solution standards, estimates, processes, policies, and procedures. Utilize standard methodologies to promote consistency and drive adherence to standards within designated teams. Familiar with other department’s methodologies including project management and development methodologies.
  • Must have the ability to operate both independently from the outside in assisting / influencing strategies as well as being able to lead from within an opportunity when given the authority and ownership to deliver response products.
  • Provides authoritative domain knowledge and success metrics of a broad range of technical capabilities, both established & developing, in developing proposed solutions that meet and exceed customer evaluation criteria.
  • Responsible for leading and facilitating the development of broad range of critical capture artifacts, including but not limited to: Offer Solutions, Bid & Business Case, Staffing Plans, Investment Strategies, Risk and Opportunity Management Plan (ROMP), Management Approaches, Key Personnel Candidates, Teaming Strategies and Gap Analysis assessment support, Opportunity Innovation Approach & Transformation Enablers, Capture Specific Commitment Plans, Integrated Master Plans/Integrated Master Schedules (IMP/IMS), Past Performance Contract Citations and proof point types required to support the proposed solution and demonstrate capabilities, extension of the Competitive Analysis into the solution and response, incorporation of the hot buttons from the offer design for the Source Selection Authority and the Board Members and contracting Office Profiling to ensure acquisition drivers are addressed in the response.
  • Facilitate Solutioning workshops in developing capture and proposal strategies.
  • Interacts across the company with Capture professionals, from Business Development Managers, Capture leaders, Program personnel, Proposal support resources, to external consulting resources, teammates and competitors.
  • Read and understand RFP, SOW, SOO and Sample Task requirements and acquisition strategies (section L&M Impacts) and translate that understanding into an offer that will be the core developmental parts of the key proposal deliverables.
  • Develop and deliver strategic messages to Senior executives and customer decision makers, whether through reviews, Oral’s presentations, or Executive summaries for Proposals to include opportunity specific communications plans to be delivered to the customer account executives and strategic teammates alike to shape the solicitation and or bring to surface focus on company discriminators.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in performing trade analysis studies with critical thinking to ensure the best solution for perspective customers / opportunities or situations.
