We areseeking a highly motivated Technical Project & Engineering Manager to support our team in Huntsville, AL. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

• Provides project engineering support for network engineering programs and projects that tie into the overall agency Strategic Technology roadmap.
• Manages the development, scheduling, implementation, and evaluation of complex network designs/solutions.
• Generates engineering documentation in support of all network engineering, design and testing activities in order to ensure completion of projects are as efficiently and effectively as possible.
• Reviews and evaluates changes that substantially impact the scope, budget, or schedule of a network engineering projects. Monitors progress and performance against the engineering project plan.
• Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.

Requirements

• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in technology related field and 8 year’s equivalent experience or subject matter expertise in network engineering; High School and 12 years of related experience in lieu of a degree

• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting complex Local Area Networking (LAN) issues and resolving Wide Area Networking (WAN) problems and supporting of cost-effective, high-performance IP and LAN/WAN solutions.
• Extensive experience with Cisco routing platforms, such as Aggregation Services Routers (ASRs)
• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of routing protocols and technologies including BGP, EIGRP, DMVPN, GRE
• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of Layer 2 technologies including STP, MST, VLANS
• Experience providing Tier 3 support and issue resolution
• Experience with network design and traffic engineering
• Experience providing senior-level engineering support
• Large enterprise environment experience
• Excellent communication skills
• 6 years of project management experience in the areas of network engineering and technology management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or higher degree
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher
• Experience in network engineering within the federal intelligence community
• Ability to adhere to a disciplined troubleshooting methodology, and ensure task/mission completion, along with creating and maintaining necessary information
• Highly self-motivated and directed, with attention to detail
• Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Experience with Agile Project Management methodologies.
