We are looking for a Senior SharePoint Developer to join our team. The Senior SharePoint Developer develops, creates, and modifies general computer applications software or specialized utility programs using an Agile Scrum methodology. He/she shall analyze user needs and develop software solutions and design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. The Senior Software Developer may analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team. He/she may supervise computer programmers.
Duties:
- Provide software maintenance in support of DMACS databases/applications/websites, including software development to address production incidents, user change requests, and other opportunities to improve the system to support users
- Provide application updates to maintain and improve the reliability, availability, and maintainability of the deployed system
- Support COTS SW version upgrades and deployments including SharePoint sites
- Resolve Tier III trouble tickets using the Incident Management Tool (MHS Service Helpdesk) to enter work, record status updates, and resolve application and system incidents
- Establish and maintain privileged user accounts to monitor and configure the DMACS components including software, application and database servers as required to maintain system operation and compliance with system operations policies and procedures
- Implement monitoring and alerting services for all DMACS related assets for system performance, heath, and status, to include, but not limited to:
- system logs
- software
- storage
- Use monitoring tools (e.g., Topaz, AppDynamics, Splunk) to detect, diagnose and resolve production issues. Conduct remediation activities to address and resolve system issues as quickly and cost-efficiently as possible
- Research, test, and apply Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts and SharePoint patches as they become available using accepted business processes Provide SME support for the sustainment of a failover capability COOP and a backup solution including providing updates to the configurations and application
- Provide technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to the program office for DMACS software. This includes providing expertise on dependencies on other systems, interfaces, and infrastructure
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Seven to Ten (7 - 10) years’ experience in SharePoint 2013 and 2016 development and administration
- Experience in developing applications with .Net and Model-View-Controller (MVC) software design pattern
- Understanding of Agile Methodologies
Certifications Preferred:
- CompTIA Security+
Clearance Level:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to pass a Moderate Background Investigation (MBI)
