We are looking for a skilled System Architect to help contribute to our Mission Engineering team environment with other systems, software and specialty engineers to develop solutions that includes a background in all aspects of the systems engineering life cycle. You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and support in developing and analysis of complex algorithms in support of new BMDS capabilities as part of the Global Agile Release Train (ART).
- Assist in the execution, analysis, and trades of Track Server algorithms over large data sets.
- Participate in developing and documenting complex algorithms, how those algorithms are applied in application software, and create and validate as needed test sets to prove proper implementations.
- Report to the Global ART EPM, and be responsible to the Global Architect Lead for adhering to architectural guidance as part of implementation.
- Experience working in the missile defense or related domains including operational and technical knowledge of topics such as engagement management, track management, sensor management.
- Well versed in the utilization of Data Analytics to analyze system performance on large data sets, to visualize complex data sets, and performing trades on algorithm implementations.
- Proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions.
- Experience with BMDS systems is highly desired.
- Direct experience in one or more of the following algorithm domains is highly desired: target tracking, target classification, target prediction.
- Experience in developing Algorithm Description Documents (ADDs) is desired.
- Experienced in technical interaction with government customers.
- A working knowledge of software development processes and transitioning algorithms into production software is strongly desired, as is knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design principles.
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess an understanding of Algorithm design techniques, and Kinematic/ Dynamic System modeling.
- Candidates should also have experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software and specialty engineers to develop solutions.
- Excellent communications skills are required (written and oral) as is the ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
- Desired skills include experience working with Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence, Optimal control, State Estimation, Statistical Analysis, Stochastic processes, Target Tracking/Correlation, and Orbital Mechanics.
Education & Certifications
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject preferred
- Minimum Active Top Secret Clearance Required, SCI Eligibility
