We are seeking a successful, motivated, and driven Hybrid ServiceNow Business Analyst to join our team in Alexandria, VA. While the position is remote, the ideal candidate will be local to the DC metro area, and may be required to come on site occasionally. The candidate will be responsible for providing life cycle development and testing of various aspects of the ServiceNow platform. This includes requirements, design, development, testing, and implementation support.

Required Skills:

Masters with 10 years of general working experience, Bachelors with 13 years of general working experience, HS Diploma and 19 years of general working experience.

  • 5+ years of experience performing ServiceNow analysis and application development or similar responsibility
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow components such as Service Catalog, Incident Management, Problem Management, Asset Management, Release Management, CMDB, Knowledge, Self- Service Portal, etc.
  • 8+ years of Requirements Definition/Analysis
  • 8+ years of Design Analysis
  • Candidates must be able to understand/define business requirements and designs.
  • Candidates can translate requirements into work breakdown structure and technical designs.
  • Prior experience participating in the full software development life cycle: Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing, and promotion into Production
  • Excellent knowledge of ServiceNow Best Practices and ongoing knowledge of latest ServiceNow features
  • Knowledge of Web 2.0 Technologies (Java Scripting, XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, JSON, PERL scripting, etc.)
  • ServiceNow System Administration Certification required

Desired Skills

  • ITILv3 Foundations
  • Experience with ServiceNow
  • Staff training in use of ServiceNow

Responsibilities include:

  • Document requirements, develop stories, design, test cases and results as required
  • Develop and test new modules and applications in ServiceNow including incident, problem, asset, knowledge, Service Catalog, Request, and Employee Self-Service Portal
  • Advise team on integrations, development and overall ServiceNow best practices
  • Create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting of each
  • Create and configure UI pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, etc. in ServiceNow
  • Develop ServiceNow software solutions using JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
