Overview
The Technology Support Intern will serve as a member of the Technology Services Help Desk team providing timely, courteous, and expert administrative support to all Firm users. This will be a regular part-time position enabling the individual to be hands-on with basic technology support, while also having an opportunity to learn advanced technology support skills which will allow a transition to a fill-time position if one becomes available.
Qualifications
- The intern must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university with a major in Information Technology or similar field of study.
- The student should be a junior or senior and possess strong written and verbal communications skills as well as strong technical and organizational skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.
- Proficient in MS Windows and MS Office software.
- Ability to work a minimum of at least 24 hours per week with no maximum - OT available
Major Responsibilities
- Assists the Help Desk team to deliver technology support.
- Perform inventory counts of hardware and software as requested.
- Unpack technical equipment validating components.
- Tag electronic equipment with asset (identification) tags.
- Image and install operating systems and software applications in accordance with Firm standards.
- Deploy and connect equipment to team members.
- Assists with troubleshooting hardware/software issues
- All other duties, as assigned.

- Excellent time management skills, including sense of urgency and proactive approach.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work on and successfully complete multiple projects at the same time.

Working Conditions
- The typical operating office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Ability to work extra hours as determined by the workload and expectations.
- Travel for this position will be minimal.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to move throughout office
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 30-50 pounds
- Ability to speak English to communicate with clients, team members, etc
