Under the supervision of the Manager of Contracts, you will prepare, negotiate and administer contracts and other legal documents to support the delivery of research projects to clients primarily in the U.S. and Europe; coordinate with operations and research staff to support the submission of research project proposals, and the set-up, execution, administration and closeout of awarded projects in RTI Health Solutions’ enterprise-wide client management and accounting system.  Additionally, you may prepare and administer subcontracts, consulting and site agreements and support the procurement of third-party goods and services used in the delivery of awarded research projects, and perform other duties in support of the RTI Health Solutions Office of Legal and Regulatory Affairs, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, negotiate and execute contracts, amendments, and other legal documents;
  • Review proposals and advise RTI-HS project and operations staff on data protection, contractual and business risks;
  • Advise research project personnel regarding contract terms and risk mitigation during project delivery;
  • Identify matters which require escalation within the Office of Legal and Regulatory Affairs or to senior management, as appropriate;
  • Maintain business, contractual, and financial records in enterprise-wide client management and accounting system;
  • Respond to client and vendor requests for information or documents;
  • Support client and internal audits, as needed;
  • Assist with maintaining standard client and third-party contract templates;

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor
  • 5 years of directly related commercial contract experience, commercial counsel, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry or a CRO.
  • Demonstrated understanding of contracting principles and commercial business practices;
  • Demonstrated experience with contract negotiation and administration, project finance or accounting;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook

Hiring Salary Range

$85,000.00-$115,000.00
