Job Description:

The Business Analyst is responsible for the coordination of key projects for IT applications. This position will work with managers and key end users to ensure overall quality and sustainability of business processes, business requirements, design support, interfacing, testing, implementation and knowledge transfer/training to end users for the company. Project work will primarily focus on system integrations to support and enhance Accounting, Tax and Credit processes. Projects may often require coordination with 3rd party vendors as well as our internal enterprise application and infrastructure teams.  This candidate must be able to take ownership of assigned tasks and effectively manage their time and workload as a remote resource working within Central Time Zone hours.

Job Responsibilities

  • Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to assigned project work.
  • Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, and uncover areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with a team of functional and technical resources to translate business requirements into technical design.
  • Build comprehensive understanding and ensure adherence to expectations of both IT and business stakeholders involved in the project.
  • Develop and maintain business process and system documentation.
  • Gather information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports.
  • Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Develop comprehensive test strategies and data validation plans to ensure that integrations meet requirements and are successful.
  • Perform unit and end-to-end testing and developing related documentation.
  • Facilitate end user acceptance through knowledge transfer and training support.
  • Plan and participate in post-implementation monitoring of integrations.
  • Work closely with vendors, end-users, and management to support assigned applications.
  • Provide expertise to other project teams as an SME for assigned applications.
  • Participate in all scrum ceremonies with assigned team.

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Scrum Master Certification
  • Experience working with ERP systems, particularly SAP.
  • Experience with ETL processes and tools.
