Job Description
The Red Gate Group is seeking a TS/SCI cleared Photojournalist to join us in Tampa, FL, supporting the Central Command Public Affairs Directorate (CCPA).
As a Photojournalist, you'll play a pivotal role in documenting CENTCOM's narrative, crafting visually engaging stories for diverse audiences. From command-related events to official trips with the CENTCOM Commander, your work will inform and engage both regional and global audiences, preserving key moments in command history.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture high-quality visual content of command-related events, exercises, and activities.
- Write engaging feature stories in AP Style, providing context and background information for published photos.
- Publish content on CENTCOM's digital media platforms, ensuring alignment with communication strategies.
- Travel with the CENTCOM Commander to document official engagements and interactions.
- Maintain a repository of historical photos and videos for CENTCOM's archives.
- Collaborate with Social Media and Website Content Managers to align content strategy.
- Operate Defense Video and Imagery Distribution System (DVIDS) equipment and adhere to DoD regulations.
- Support emergent 24/7 shift surge requirements during crises or unforeseen events.
Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills
- Active TS/SCI
- Knowledge of the DVIDS satellite live-broadcasting system.
- Proficiency in producing and publishing digital imagery, audio files, and written stories in AP Style.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Premiere.
- Familiarity with the U.S. military structure, culture, and language.
- Ability to travel on short notice and function in potentially austere environments.
- Educational background in web design, computer science, communications, or journalism.
- Excellent communication, public affairs, and critical thinking skills.
