Job Description

The Red Gate Group is seeking a Senior Budget Analyst to support the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense (OSD) Manufacturing Technology (ManTech). In this pivotal role, you will be the guardian of program execution, ensuring funding flows seamlessly and budgets align with strategic objectives.

Your duties include monitoring program execution, submitting essential documentation for funding release, and meticulously tracking obligation and disbursement rates. Dive into the details, managing Open Commitments, obtaining necessary acceptance documents, and ensuring a smooth flow from draft to issue, acceptance, and obligation in the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) system.

Collaboration is key, and you'll coordinate with agency Financial Analysts and Program Managers to navigate OSD execution process guidelines. Your analytical prowess will shine as you calculate and report commitment, obligation, and expenditure rates for critical financial reviews and briefings.

Your role extends to tracking, analyzing, and reporting program expenditures using DAI and the METT. Additionally, be prepared to provide financial data for unique budget-related tasks directed by senior leadership, such as critical technology support, Spending Cross-Cut reporting, and Inspector General requests.

Qualifications

Required Experience & Skills

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, preferably in a financial or accounting related field.
  • Knowledgeable of appropriations law and limitations, the federal budgeting process, and DoD PPBE System
  • Proficiency in DAI system processes and tools.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Excel for financial management and Microsoft Visio for process documentation.
  • Familiarity with G-Invoicing processes and tools for creating and updating 7600a agreements GT&C and 7600b Orders.
  • Basic knowledge of process documentation tools and techniques and experience in their application

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience in the creation and maintenance of Excel-based pivot tables and coding in VBA with Excel.
  • Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) desired.
