POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Sanitor Assistant. Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing processing and packaging equipment change parts per established Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs). General cleaning of production line areas. Responsibilities include the accurate documentation of key sanitation control points in compliance with our sanitation program.

WHAT YOU’LL DO (OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)

• Clean processing equipment parts as directed by established SSOPs
• Perform cleaning out of place (COP) procedures as outlined by SSOPs
• Clean and store utensils in proper location
• Knowledge of assigned cleaning chemicals and their proper usage
• Perform routine cleaning tasks in accordance to the Master Sanitation Schedule
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping to document work completed.
• Respond to sanitation requirements in a timely, effective, and professional manner.
• Perform others duties and responsibilities, as assigned

WHAT YOU BRING ( MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS)

• 1-year sanitation/cleaning experience preferably in a food manufacturing environment
• High school diploma or GED
• Working knowledge of food manufacturing cleaning chemicals
• Ability to effectively communicate to employees in various positions and at all levels
• Must be willing to work overtime or on weekends, as the workload demands

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work occasionally near mechanical parts and in high places
• Work in wet environment with hot water, foaming and cleaning agents
• Work in production areas that may occasionally be a dusty environment
• Duties are performed primarily in a smoke-free environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and reach
• At times might be climbing a ladder
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Push/Pull up to 300 lbs.
