Reporting to the Plant Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of his/her shift ensuring that production targets and deadlines are achieved, and that key performance indicators are met while maintaining compliance with the Company’s safety, quality, and productivity objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
•    Foster Printpack’s safety-first values and drive awareness at all levels.
•    Responsible for monitoring all aspects of production activities performed during his/her shift, with careful attention to productivity, quality, and on-time delivery.
•    Identifies and resolves production issues in an efficient and timely manner and assists in the resolution of production problems.
•    Ensures products are made within customer specifications and inspects finished product to ensure quality.  
•    Assists in the development of procedures and techniques for reducing down-time and manufacturing delays. 
•    Works closely with associates to develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product to reduce and prevent customer complaints. 
•    Communicates daily production goals and expectations to operators on all shifts and documents and reports production results required. 
•    Operates within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Quality procedures.
•    Conducts regular team meetings for communication of safety, quality, and production changes and goals. 
•    Works closely with other production supervisors to ensure consistency across shifts. 
•    Manage inventory through daily cycle counts. 
•    Support the Printpack Performance System, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing

•    Drives continuous improvement in safety, productivity, and quality 
•    Ensures adherence to company and OSHA safety regulations 
•    Investigates and prepare reports on safety near-misses, accidents, and hazards identification 
 
COMMITMENT TO ASSOCIATES: 
•    Responsible for creating a positive and engaged work environment, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, and developing his/her team to ensure company goals are achieved. 
•    Assures that all individuals within assigned departments have a clear understanding of their responsibilities and ensures they are properly trained on procedures relating to safety, production, and quality, and documents training. 
•    Promotes an effective team-oriented environment and foster communication between floor associates and Plant Management to identify: safety issues, required improvements in working conditions, and methods to increase production and quality.  
•    Manages shift administrative activities including time/absence reporting, attendance monitoring, vacation planning, time-off requests, and overtime. 
•    Evaluates individual team members’ performance, provide regular feedback, and complete annual written performance reviews for all associates. 
•    Manages the on-going development and performance of assigned shift associates to maintain quality standards and increase production levels. 
•    Identifies training and development needs, coach, mentor, and motivate associates to achieve results. 

  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 
    •    High School diploma or GED. 
    •    Two to five years of hands-on experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
    •    Must have strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills 
    •    Must have strong computer skills 
    •    Must possess the ability to effectively communicate with associates at all levels of the organization.   •    

  • Internal candidates: Experience in a PPK leadership role or experience leading initiatives required

  • Ability to work Monday - Friday 3pm-11pm
